#299: Describe your average perfect week

One of my favorite activities I ask of my clients is to describe their average perfect week. The responses vary, but it gets people thinking on what is important in their lives.

Don’t worry if you can’t simply answer this. This is not an easy question. Can you decribe and craft your perfect week?

What do you want to be, do, or have?

I am writing this from the beach in St. Pete, and doing what I love to do. I love to write, and want to be warm in February. I am working, but my wife is next to me reading a book. I have nothing on my schedule today, other than a stroll through the Sunken Gardens, and a lite lunch overlooking the water.

When you break down your life it has the same components everyone else has. We have to consider our family, health, career, and finances. We also need to keep in touch with our spirituality, mental fitness, and social exploits. Have you asked yourself what you want to be, do, or have when you consider each of these areas of your life?

When you find your answers to each of these components you have just defined your perfect outcomes. Now, how do you get there? What do you need to do to have and do what you just wrote down? Your answers change over time, depending on what stage of life you are in, so I encourage you to break this down into months, years, and a span of a decade. What you want today in 30-days, what do you want to do in 10-years? And then revisit this every few months to make sure you are getting where you want to go, and are on track for the long-run!

It’s time to dream, and your actions taken today will help you achieve your desired outcome. It’s hard work today, but it will lead to a better tomorrow.

And, since I am on a short vacation, this blog will also be short. I’m living my average perfect life at the moment.
